‘Tashkent Pharma Park’ Pharmaceutical Cluster
‘Tashkent Pharma Park’ Pharmaceutical Сluster is established according to a Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sharkat Mirziyoyev signed on 28th January 2020 in a 50 hectares land located in Zangiota District, Tashkent region. The project consists of a technology park and industrial zone. The technology park will be located on 20 hectares whilst 30 hectares of land will be allocated to industrial facilities.
On 17th April 2020, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited, got acquainted with the construction site online and ceremonially launched the construction of the complex.
The technology park will consolidate academic, research, clinical and preclinical testing units. In particular, the Pharmaceutical Technology University to educate qualified personnel based on international higher educational standards in area of pharmaceutics, drug discovery and production, medical products and equipment, cosmetology, industrial management and ICT-applications design, research centers, headquarters of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency, State center for Expertise of the Pharmaceutical Products, Palace of Symposiums, hotel and sports facilities as well as other relevant infrastructure.
The industrial zone will be a home for production facilities of leading pharmaceutical companies that produce innovative drug preparations, medical products and equipment.
A concept and action plan on the organization of the cluster, Trustee’ Board and Management Board on development of ‘Tashkent Pharma Park’ Innovative Research-Production Pharmaceutical Cluster were approved by the Resolution of the country leader.
‘Tashkent Pharma Park’ Innovative Research-Production Pharmaceutical Cluster is keen to become a leading force of the national pharmaceutical industry through application of innovations (know-how) and advanced technologies with introduction of leading international practice.
