It is a common knowledge that weather and soil conditions of Uzbekistan are very suitable for growing valuable varieties of herbs. Highlighted by the famous Eastern physician, Avicenna in his most famous work “al-Qanun fi’l-Tibb”. This famous work notes that saffron is used in treating over 100 types of illnesses.

It should be noted that saffron is being developed along with the other ongoing projects by the initiative of the President of Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, since 2017.

BMB SHIFO, the subsidiary of BMB Trade Group, has started the development of a saffron plantation for the “BMB ZA’FARON” brand in the summer of 2020. BMB SHIFO, which specializes in the production of different herbs, operates in one of the most suitable and ecologically clean zones of our country.

The product of the “BMB ZA’FARON” brand has been certified by foreign and local specialists as being of the highest quality.

On 5^th of February in 2021, BMB Trade Group presented its brand “BMB ZA’FARON” for its saffron product at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Tashkent, with the participation of public and private figures, diplomatic representatives of foreign countries, popular artists, businessmen, media representatives and well-known bloggers.

The State Forestry Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, KAFIL insurance and the scientific-research center “Shafran” attended this event as partners.

At the beginning of the event, the floor was given to the Сhairman of the Board of Directors of BMB Trade Group, Bekzod Mamatkulov, who gave an opening speech to announce the opening of the event.

Afterwards, the appearance of the character of Avicenna the father and great contributor to medicine who revealed the benefits of saffron, left guests with strong impressions.

Positive and supportive thoughts in regard to the brand “BMB ZA’FRON”, presented by experts in the field were expressed by those who attended.

In addition, professor of Tashkent institute of Postgraduate Medical Education, Doctor of Medical Sciences Feruza ibragimovna Xamrabaeva, gave speech about preparation of saffron brew and its benefits to the human body.

During the presentation, guests were treated to a beneficial saffron brew whilst listening to the masterful opera of the National artist, Ramiz Usmonov.

As part of the presentation video demonstrations were shown, which depicted the history and production cycle of BMB Za’faron’s product. These sets of videos left a lasting impression on the audience.

At the end of the event, First Deputy Chairman of State Committee of Forestry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Olim Arzikulovich Khakimov, and executive director of BMB TRADE GROUP, Abdurashid Sharafutdinov, signed a partnership contract.

Additionally, the CEO of BMB TRADE GROUP signed distributorship contract with the CEO of the Saudi Arabian company Sunbula Technologies Establishment “STE”, Ubaydullox and a futures contract with the CEO of the Ghanaian company “Hairmilk Ventures”, Emanuelle Kvofi. Both contracts were signed in online format.

The context of signed contracts is to further expand of exports of local goods through the entry into the markets of the Middle East and Africa, which play an important role to further the initiative of the of President of Republic of Uzbekistan.

In order to induce a festive atmosphere to the event, famous National singer of Republic of Uzbekistan, Ziyoda Qobilova, performed her hit songs.

Finally, valuable products of BMB Za’faron were gifted to the participants of the event.

In general, the presentation of brand “BMB Za’faron”, indicates that there is new player in saffron market of Uzbekistan. Which in turn contributes the development of strong competition in herbal market.
