This November 3, the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency together with Vialek Group of Companies, Russia, organized a webinar on the theme ‘Good Pharmacovigilance Practices. Pharmacovigilance Outsourcing’.

The webinar, which took place in the form of a training, brought together over 50 pharmaceutical industry specialists from Uzbekistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Moldova, Georgia and Kyrgyzstan. Elvira Svechnikova, Deputy Head of the International Standard Introduction Coordinating Department of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency acted the webinar moderator.

The webinar presented the concept of outsourcing, its pros and cons, the risks of pharmacovigilance outsourcing for companies. The webinar moderator also highlighted the issues of legislation and regulatory requirements in Uzbekistan and the EAEU countries for pharmacovigilance outsourcing, requirements for the quality system when the marketing authorization holder delegates the performed functions of pharmacovigilance.

Also, some advices were given on the choice of outsourcing companies, etc.
