Officials discussed the issues of mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Israel in the pharmaceutical industry.

Speakers noted that Uzbekistan is interested in cooperating with leading Israeli pharmaceutical companies, including the production on a contract basis.

Ms. Sari expressed readiness to hold online talks with representatives of the largest Israeli company Teva Pharmaceuticals to establish such cooperation. She also recommended that those Israeli companies interested in cooperating with Uzbekistan should send project proposals for the implementation of the investment projects of the Agency in the pharmaceutical sector.

Ms. Sari briefed the meeting participants on the regulatory system of the Israeli pharmaceutical industry and highlighted the specifics of the legislation of the two countries on the regulation of retail trade in medicines.

At the end of the meeting, Ms. Sari invited the agency representatives to Israel to participate in a pharmaceutical forum that is planned to be held in mid-June this year.
