Uzbekistan-Türkey: relations in the field of pharmaceuticals are being strengthened

On August 23-26, a delegation consisting of representatives of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency, the Ministry of Health and the state institution "Center for the Safety of Pharmaceutical Products" under the Ministry of Health visited Turkey.

The delegation included strategic development adviser to the Director of the Agency H. Ganieva and head of department for coordinating enterprises for production of medicines O.Babaniyazov, negotiations were held to establish cooperation between Turkey and Uzbekistan in the field of pharmaceuticals and healthcare.

During the visit, our representatives were in Ankara and the cities of Turkey, where they met with representatives of Association of Manufacturers of Medicines (İEİS), Association of Medical Device Manufacturers, Turkish Institute of Health (TÜSEB), Turkish Institute for Quality and Accreditation of Medical Services (TÜSKA), Chemistry Exporters Association and Chemical Products of Istanbul (IKMİB), Turkish Health Industry Employers Association (SEİS) and got acquainted with activities, tasks and obligations of each organization.

Along with this, our representatives met with head of organization of medicines and medical products in Turkey, Dr. Asim Khodjaoglu. During the meeting Dr. Asim Khodjaoglu informed in detail about requirements and conditions for state registration, laboratory testing and GxP inspection, which Uzbek pharmaceutical manufacturers will need to register their products in Turkey. At the end of the meeting, issues of further cooperation between organizations were discussed.

An agreement was also reached with the company "Adbi Ibrahim", which occupies a high place in production and export in Turkey for the production of hormonal contraceptives and medicines in Uzbekistan and leading company "Abdi Ibrahim", which occupies a high place in terms of production and export potential in Turkey, and company "PediTST ", which is the leader in production of medical equipment for production of medical equipment in our country
