Experts discussed the issues of identifying and assessing the corruption risks in the Agency's activities during a seminar

A methodological manual registered by the Ministry of Justice called "State authorities and management bodies, including their regional units, state unitary enterprises and institutions, state methodology for identifying and assessing corruption risks in the activities of organizations with a share of more than 50 percent" and a manual approved by the head of the Agency titled "Corruption risks in the central apparatus and regional units of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry under the Ministry of Health, departmental organizations" were designed based on the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on May 11, 2022, "On improving the mechanisms for eliminating corruption risks in the field of public administration and measures to expand public participation in this field."

A training seminar discussed the manuals mentioned above and issues of organizing mandatory identification and evaluation of all corruption risks in the activities of the Agency's department and regional units.

Specialists discussed the relevant appendices of these methodological manuals, the Agency's department and territorial units, as well as the Agency's departmental organizations' corruption risk maps, the list of positions most prone to corruption risks, as well as a detailed explanation of the development of anti-corruption programs of departmental organizations, taking into account measures to minimize corruption risks.

In particular, in forming these internal documents, the Agency's departments and regional units based on the tasks and functions defined for the Agency in the decision approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on December 18, 2017. The document is called "Regulation on the Agency for Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan."

Experts emphasized that all necessary processes should be widely examined by a unique team of specialists in the internal structures of the departmental organizations within the Agency.

Also, developed corruption risk maps, the list of positions most prone to corruption risks, the implementation of anti-corruption programs designed based on these, and the proposal, data, and actions taken to identify and assess corruption risks. A detailed understanding of the procedure for submitting reports on the measures taken to the Agency's leadership and the "E-Anticor.uz" electronic platform of the Republic Anti-Corruption Agency within the specified periods.
