Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan in the field of pharmaceuticals and healthcare is expanding

At the moment, a group of representatives of ministries and departments of the Republic of Uzbekistan is in Afghanistan.

Delegation also includes head of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency Sherzod Yakubov, negotiations are underway on cooperation between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan in the field of pharmaceuticals and healthcare.

In particular, agreements were reached with G.Fahim director of Afghan company "Fyucher Vels Trayding" on supply of protein-vitamin complexes by manufacturers from Uzbekistan on average 1 million per year.

Also, issues of concluding a contract on the basis of "Ibn Sina" enterprise in this country were discussed with director of the pharmaceutical service of the Ministry of Health of Afghanistan, Hamid Furmuli.

For information, provision of population with pharmaceutical products by the state in Afghanistan is carried out by the private sector. A large distribution company "Ibn Sina" actively participates in this work.

In addition, there is only one enterprise providing dental services in Kabul city, and during meetings, issues of advanced training of Afghan medical workers in the specialty "Health manager" and training in short courses were agreed.

Given these circumstances, effective negotiations were held with Chairman of the National Association of Afghanistan "Quality Control of Food and Drugs" Dr. A. Umar on the supply of pharmaceutical products manufactured in Uzbekistan to the market of this country.

In particular, a draft agreement is being developed on the introduction of a mutually simplified system of state registration (up to 25 days).
