The delegation headed by Advisor to the Director of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency Kh. Ganiyeva visited Azerbaijan and met with Deputy Chairman of the Agency for the Development of Economic Regions of this country Elkiyar Ziyadov.

It was attended by representatives of manufacturing enterprises of Uzbekistan, such as "TSTM", "Baxtteks", "ASTESSA Atramatik Steril Jarrohlik Iplari", "Zamin Bio Health", "Pharm", "Shifokor-82 Fe".
During the talks, Kh. Ganiyeva briefed the Azerbaijani side on the activities of the agency and Uzbek pharmaceutical manufacturers.

Representatives of Azerbaijan informed Uzbek side about the activities of their agency, organizational and infrastructural support, financial support mechanisms, registration procedures and the benefits of each industrial park.

During the meeting, representatives of manufacturing enterprises of Uzbekistan made a presentation and showed product samples.
In addition, representatives of the Agency for the Development of Economic Regions of Azerbaijan got acquainted with the territory of the industrial park of Uzbekistan "Pirallahi" and a resident of "Diamed Co" LLC - an enterprise for the production of syringes. Issues related to the possibilities of attracting manufacturing enterprises of Uzbekistan to the territory of Azerbaijan were discussed.

The Azpromo Export and Investment Support Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan provided information on benefits and preferences for further consideration, as well as on cooperation with the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurship Support Fund and the Azerbaijan Investment Fund. The support of these organizations can ensure the successful entry and development of Uzbek companies to the Azerbaijani market, promote the exchange of experience and knowledge.

In addition, the Department of Pharmaceutics and Medical Equipment of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan expressed its readiness for cooperation based on the experience and qualifications of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In this direction, mechanisms for guaranteed purchase of pharmaceutical products were discussed and an agreement was reached on support through mutual information.

During meetings in the B2B format between representatives of large pharmaceutical distribution companies of the two countries, issues of mutual exchange of information, expansion of the distribution network and development of joint strategies for ensuring the effective use of medical devices in the markets of the two countries were considered.

This proved its value and importance in the context of the development of economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. Following the meeting, the parties expressed interest in developing mutually beneficial relations and strengthening cooperation.
