The issues of registration of our local pharmaceutical products in Azerbaijan were discussed
During the meetings, Agency representatives visited the Center for Analytical Expertise, which deals with the registration of pharmaceutical products under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of registering the domestically produced drugs in Azerbaijan. Currently, the Center for Analytical Expertise has registered more than 20 domestically produced drugs, and 11 drugs are under registration.
The parties agreed to simplify the procedures for registration of domestically produced drugs in the center. The Agency for Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry and the Center for Analytical Expertise agreed to establish a regular exchange of information on the registration of Uzbek drugs in Azerbaijan to assist local pharmaceutical companies in entering the Azerbaijani market.
B2B meetings with pharmaceutical companies in Azerbaijan were also held. During the meetings, talks were held with Herba Flora, one of the largest manufacturers of biologically active supplements based on medicinal and plant raw materials in Azerbaijan.
As a result of negotiations, in connection with the purchase of 70% of raw materials from abroad, the Agency proposed to organize the supply of medicinal and plant raw materials grown in Uzbekistan. The parties agreed to further cooperate with local companies to send a list of raw materials needed by the company to the Uzbek side, to determine the positions of the Uzbek raw material base, and organize the export of medicinal and plant raw materials.
In addition, the Agency held meetings with distributors of pharmaceutical products in Azerbaijan, and representatives of more than 10 pharmaceutical companies, and provided handouts with detailed information about domestic enterprises exporting pharmaceutical products.
