Jamjum Farma, a large pharmaceutical enterprise in Saudi Arabia, plans to invest in Uzbekistan

These days, the delegation headed by the deputy director of the Agency for the Development of Pharmaceutical Industry, Jamshid Eshmuradov, is holding business meetings with business people in Saudi Arabia.

The main goal of the meeting is to ensure the implementation of paragraph 6 of Statement No. 34 of the extended meeting held on April 12, 2022, under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoev. The paragraph reads several aims such as holding negotiations with large foreign companies, attracting ten leading foreign pharmaceutical companies (brands) to our country, and exporting pharmaceutical products and services to reach 150 million dollars by the end of the year.

During the visit, the agency officials met with the founders of Jamjum Farma, a large producer of pharmaceutical products in Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, the two countries exchanged views on further strengthening the mutually beneficial cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry.

Jamshid Eshmuradov, deputy director of the Agency, gave detailed information on the investment attractiveness of Uzbekistan to foreign business circles. In particular, he spoke about the provision of some benefits for new investors in the pharmaceutical-free economic zones of our country and the creation of favorable conditions for the development of their activities. He also noted that the head of our state pays great attention to the practical support of entrepreneurs and the initiators of investment projects. The presentation of the innovative research and production pharmaceutical cluster project "Tashkent Pharma Park" during the event aroused great interest among the participants.

Mirkamol Mirsaliev, a member of the delegation from Uzbekistan, head of Aziya Immunopreparat, discussed the issue of signing a cooperation agreement on the establishment of contract production and export of medicines in our country with the head of the Jamjum Farma enterprise, Mr. Mahmud Jamjum.

The representatives of the Jamjum Farma enterprise expressed their interest in the possibility of investing in Uzbekistan and expressed their opinion about the prospects of cooperation soon.
