On December 1, 2021, Sardor Kariyev, director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, met with a delegation of industry representatives visiting from the Russian Federation.

During the meeting with the advisor to the first vice-president of JSC Gazprombank from Russia, the head of the Competence Center for Digital Transformation of the Healthcare Sector of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, and the vice president of the IBA, one of the manufacturers of advanced medical equipment in the field of proton therapy sides talked on the issues of establishing mutually beneficial cooperation within the innovative research and production cluster Tashkent Pharma Park.

During the negotiations, in particular, parties discussed the issues of localizing innovative pharmaceuticals, launching the production of radiopharmaceuticals, and creating an integrated electronic system for a clinical research center and a medical hospital.

Representatives of the delegation, who visited the cluster under construction, highly appreciated the scale of the project, the speed of construction, and the facilities and recognized its innovation and social importance for the region.
