As part of the Second International Pharmaceutical Forum of Uzbekistan, a meeting was held with representatives of the German company Bayer. At the meeting, parties discussed priority areas for the development of the pharmaceutical market in Uzbekistan and prospects for scientific and technological cooperation with Bayer.
Representatives of the company confirmed their interest in the long-term development of business in the over-the-counter drugs market of Uzbekistan. The company noted the difficulties that create barriers to successful activity, in particular: the process of registration of new medicines and the high level of tax burden on drugs registered as dietary supplements.
At the end of the meeting, the representatives of the Company expressed their readiness to assist in establishing business contacts with the German side. The company announced an upcoming meeting with leading experts of the Republic of Uzbekistan to discuss measures to facilitate the implementation of the main directions of the motherhood and childhood support program, including conducting a socio-economic study on the potential positive effect of using complex vitamin support.
For information, the forum, which was attended by the heads of more than 250 largest pharmaceutical companies, discussed the most current issues of the industry.
