On July 29, 2022, officials of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry held a meeting with the representatives of Ukrainian companies producing pharmaceutical products in Uzbekistan regarding the transition to the system of mandatory digital marking of medical devices and supplies. The discussions aim to highlight the implementation of the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dated April 2, 2022, "On the introduction of the mandatory digital marking system of drugs and medical products."
The Agency specialists gave a comprehensive explanation and consultation to their colleagues from the Ukrainian companies producing pharmaceutical products in Uzbekistan regarding the transition to the mandatory digital marking of medicines and medical supplies. In particular, the officials of the Agency heard about the problems arising in the transition to a mandatory digital marking system during the state of emergency in Ukraine.
In addition, the introduction of digital marking by enterprises should be carried out step by step and from the date of introduction of the procedure for the mandatory digital marking of drugs and medical products to foreign manufacturers within 180 days until the date of the introduction of the procedure for the mandatory digital marking of drugs and medical products produced (in packaging) specified date) and the procedures for certification of non-digitally marked products and permission for customs regime "free circulation" (import).
