On June 1, 2022, the Uzbek-Tajik business forum was held at the Hilton Hotel in Tashkent.

More than 200 businessmen and representatives of ministries and departments, business circles, and industrial associations of the two countries attended the conference. They discussed the current state and prospects of trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the two countries.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov, and the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Davlatali Said headed the delegations.

The heads of delegations of the two countries noted that there is a great opportunity to expand economic relations, establish high-tech joint ventures, and build cooperation in the production and supply of high-demand products to the market.

The presentations done by the two countries that aimed at further developing cooperation were featured at the business forum.

The First Deputy Director of the Agency Ulugbek Egamov represented The Agency for Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry in the business forum. Representatives of the pharmaceutical business circles of the two countries also held cooperation talks in B2B format. In particular, Cof Farm LLC of Tajikistan, Merrymed Farm LLC of Uzbekistan, and the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency representatives signed a tripartite agreement that focuses on expanding the cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector.

The agreement envisages a $ 2 million in-bulk pharmaceutical project in the neighboring country.
