On February 22, 2023, the Director of the Pharmaceutical industry development agency A. Azizov hold a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Singapore, A. Kayumov.

During the meeting, discussions were held on projects and upcoming initiatives in the field of pharmaceuticals under the cooperation between Uzbekistan and Singapore, including plans for future collaborations, especially in education (Double degree programs), attracting investments, and production based on contracts.

Furthermore, the Director of the Agency expressed interest in learning from Singapore's experience in establishing a biotechnology cluster and requested practical assistance from the ambassadors in organizing meetings with representatives of "Big Pharma" companies in Singapore.
