From October 30 to November 4 of this year, a group of experts led by Ulugbek Egamov, the first deputy director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Network, visited the Moroccan city of Rabat.

The delegation of the Agency and the working group of the Moroccan Pharmacovigilance Center held "Face to face in Rabat" talks, recognized as a model by the international community, on the development of strategic recommendations for the establishment of the Pharmacovigilance Center and System in Uzbekistan.

During the negotiations based on the proposal of the US International Development Agency, parties agreed that the structure of the National Center of Pharmacovigilance, which is currently under construction in the innovative research and production pharmaceutical cluster "Tashkent Pharma Park," will be created based on the experience of Morocco.

Also, during the visit, the delegation got acquainted with the WHO's International Drug Monitoring Program (an international organization established to ensure the timely detection of drug safety problems, UPSALA monitoring center, Sweden).

These negotiations aim to establish the National Pharmacovigilance Base, which serves to identify the side effects of drugs in Uzbekistan based on international standards. In addition, it is expected to introduce the clinical pharmacy control system of modern treatment and prevention methods.
