Shavkat Mirziyoyev has visited Listem-Fergana JV in Fergana. The joint venture, established jointly with South Korea, produces X-ray equipment. This is the only enterprise not only in the country, but also in the region that produces high-tech medical equipment. The total project cost of the enterprise is 8 million USD, with an initial production capacity of 300 units of X-ray equipment of two types per year. At the first stage of the project, 35 people received jobs. By the end of the year, it the enterprise is planning to create about a hundred new jobs.

The next stage is currently underway. As a result, the annual production will be increased to 500 units, and the product range to 10. This will help replace imported medical equipment and provide the domestic market with affordable and high-quality equipment. After the transition to full capacity, the company plans to begin exporting products.

X-ray equipment Listem-Fergana is already in high demand. The first Smart DR X-ray unit produced by the enterprise is three times cheaper than any other similar foreign device. For example, a local device costs 50 thousand USD. A similar device from Philips Company costs about 144 thousand USD, from Siemens - 168 thousand USD. The Smart Dr X-ray unit can examine up to 15 patients per hour. Images are stored in computer memory up to 5 years. This is important for tracking the dynamics of diseases. It is also possible to send images via the Internet, which allows to consult with other doctors remotely.

The head of our state emphasized the importance of correct diagnosis for improving the health of the population, as well as the fact that the production of medical equipment in our country has economic and social benefits. Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed the company to increase localization, develop production cooperation and improve the skills of employees.

A number of projects were also discussed there, including the production of electric vehicles on the territory of the Kokand free economic zone together with Hyundai, coal mining at the Vodil mine, modernization of the Ferganaazot and Kokandsuperphosphate joint-stock companies.

The President approved the projects and stressed the need to pay special attention to the quality of their implementation and deadlines.
