Specialists of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry studied the measures to improve the network.

A video conference was organized at the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry. Over 50 local manufacturers and employees of the regional division took part in an online event.

At the meeting, Ulugbek Egamov, the first deputy director of the agency, chaired the discussion on topical issues related to the further development of the network. In particular, with the involvement of the responsible employees of the Ministry of Investment and Trade, the agency introduced the opportunities created by the cooperative exchanges and invited local producers to participate in the process.

Experts mentioned the local producers and their products participating in the republican cooperative exchange held in Tashkent these days.

Also, participants exchanged opinions about the causes, problems, and solutions of this negative situation that occurred with the enterprises whose production volumes have decreased (Jorabek, Remedi Grupp, Merrimed Farm, and Uzgermedfarm).

Ulugbek Egamov, the first deputy director of the Agency, spoke at the meeting about the cooperation with the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade to increase the export of local producers' products. He mentioned that Uzbekistan is working on reaching a mutual agreement with the countries of Kazakhstan and Belarus on the registration of medicines and medical supplies.

In addition, to expand the geography of exports and develop new markets, according to the order of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 09.06.2022 No. 24/17-17, the delegation of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Network will serve the city of Johannesburg in the Republic of South Africa.

On October 26-28 of this year, together with local pharmaceutical enterprises, the delegation of the Agency participated for the first time in the international medical and pharmaceutical exhibition "AFRICA HEALTH 2022." held in Johannesburg, South Africa. Due to the insufficient number of enterprises producing pharmaceutical products in African countries at present, there is an acute shortage of medicines and medical equipment in the continent's market. Therefore, experts determined that there is a big potential in the field of pharmaceuticals on the African continent, that is, the possibility of mastering the market, and it is appropriate to develop regularly in this direction.

Ulugbek Egamov also spoke about the Agency's business missions to Morocco and Ethiopia.

After that, a discussion was held with the participants of the meeting. In particular, the representative of JV company "Jorabek Laboratories" expressed gratitude for the practical assistance provided by the Agency. He also proposed to cancel the 10% excise tax on polyethylene and polypropylene raw materials used in the production process or to produce these raw materials according to pharmaceutical requirements by local manufacturers. The representative of "OPTIMA SOBIRJON" LLC spoke with a request regarding the collection of debt for the payment of products exported to Belarus last year. In addition, at the meeting, today's opinions and suggestions regarding the registration of products in foreign countries, clinical trials, and simplification of GMP standards of enterprises through mutual recognition between countries were expressed.
