This July 3, the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency has hosted a videoconference with representatives of the pharmaceutical industry of the United Kingdom. Management and specialists of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency, representatives of pharmaceutical enterprises of Uzbekistan, and Crown Agents Company from the British side attended the meeting, initiated by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the UK.

The online meeting focused on discussing the issues regarding the export of medicines, medical products and medical equipment manufactured in Uzbekistan to the UK and other countries.

It should be noted that representatives of the British company Crown Agents showed a high interest in Uzbek products. In particular, the parties discussed a list of medicines, medical products and medical equipment necessary to the British side during the pandemic.

According to Sardor Kariev, Director, the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency, Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical industry products meet all international requirements. “Today, our industry can supply the necessary medical products and medicines, in particular, disposable gloves and medical masks, various types of antiviral drugs and antibiotics, infusion solutions and other medical products in the necessary volumes to combat the pandemic,” the PharmAgency Director noted.
